WordPress.com goes all in on AI agents for content creation
Will AI agents replace your content team entirely?

Hi ,
WordPress.com just opened the floodgates.
AI agents can now write and publish posts.
Draft. Edit. Publish. Manage comments. Update metadata. Organize with tags and categories.
All controlled through natural language commands.
WordPress powers 43% of all websites on the internet. WordPress.com sees 20 billion page views monthly. 409 million unique visitors.
And now AI agents can create content on those sites.
Read that again.
AI. Agents. Creating. Content.
Today’s prompt is about deepfake protection framework that stops brand impersonation before it spreads. While Marketing Monday Tips talks why most emails die with the first reader and how to fix it. Then we’ll discuss what WordPress just enabled that could change the web.
🔥 Prompt of the Day 🔥
Deepfake Detection Brand Protection: Use ChatGPT or Claude
Create one AI-generated content monitoring system.
The Prompt:
"Act as a digital brand protection specialist.
Create one deepfake detection framework for protecting [BRAND/PERSON] from malicious AI-generated content.
Essential Details:
Brand/Person: [WHO TO PROTECT]
Risk Level: [LIKELIHOOD OF ATTACK]
Monitoring Scope: [PLATFORMS TO WATCH]
Detection Tools: [AI PLATFORMS AVAILABLE]
Response Protocol: [TAKEDOWN PROCESS]
Legal Resources: [ATTORNEY ACCESS]
Create one protection system including:
Automated scanning setup (voice/video/image)
Authenticity verification protocols
Rapid response takedown workflow
Legal documentation templates
Reputation damage assessment
Preventive watermarking strategy
Protect against AI impersonation."
Variables:
BRAND/PERSON: Who you're protecting
RISK LEVEL: How likely is attack
MONITORING SCOPE: Which platforms to watch
DETECTION TOOLS: What AI tools available
RESPONSE PROTOCOL: Your takedown process
LEGAL RESOURCES: Attorney access level
Why This Works:
Deepfakes spread faster than takedowns. AI monitors platforms 24/7. Detects voice, video, image impersonation. Triggers automated takedown workflow. Protects brand before damage spreads.

Forwarding Factor
Most emails die with the first reader.
Designed-to-forward content multiplies reach for free.
The Problem
You send email to 10,000 subscribers.
3,000 open it. Good open rate.
But that's where it stops. 3,000 people read it. Nobody forwards it.
Your reach caps at your list size.
Why This Matters
The best email list is someone else's.
When subscriber forwards your email to colleague, you just accessed list you don't own.
Zero acquisition cost. Higher trust. Warm introduction.
But most emails aren't designed to be forwarded.
The Solution
Build sharing into the architecture.
Not afterthought. Core design principle.
How To Do This
Add "Send this to someone who needs it" line.
Explicit permission. Makes forwarding feel appropriate, not awkward.
Create value so specific it feels like a gift.
Generic advice? Nobody forwards. Specific insight solving exact problem? Forwardable.
"My client just asked about this exact thing."
That's forward trigger.
Write a sentence they'll want to screenshot.
If line makes them think "I need to remember this," they'll share it.
One-liner that crystalizes insight. Screenshot-worthy. Shareable.
What Makes Content Forwardable
Solves specific problem subscriber's colleague has.
"This explains X better than I could."
Contains insight subscriber wants credit for sharing.
"Thought you'd find this interesting."
Frames subscriber as helpful, not spammy.
"This might be useful for your Y project."
Track Differently
Track forwards and shares separately from clicks.
Forwards indicate different kind of engagement. Not just interest. Endorsement.
Someone willing to put their name on your content by forwarding it.
That's higher value than click.
The Test
Keep asking: would I send this to a friend?
If answer is no, content not forwardable.
Redesign until answer is yes.
What To Do
Review last 5 emails you sent. How many were forwardable?
Add explicit forward prompt. "Know someone who needs this? Forward it."
Make one point so clear and specific it feels like gift to share.
Write one screenshot-worthy sentence per email.
Track forward rate. Measure how many times email gets sent beyond original list.
Why This Works
Your list has ceiling. Other people's lists don't.
Forwardable content breaks through that ceiling.
Multiply reach without paying for it.
Best growth is organic. Forwarding is organic growth.

AI is now being used to compose music that adapts in real time to live performances, with artists like Refik Anadol creating immersive AI-generated visual environments that respond to music, transforming concerts and art shows into dynamic, one-of-a-kind experiences.
🗞️ Breaking AI News 🗞️
WordPress.com Now Lets AI Agents Write and Publish Posts
WordPress.com announced Friday it will allow AI agents to draft, edit, and publish content on customers' websites.
Also manage comments. Update and fix metadata. Organize content with tags and categories.
All controlled through interface where website owner explains what they want using natural language commands.
What This Means
Websites could be almost entirely created and run via AI agents controlled by humans.
Lowers barrier to setting up and maintaining websites.
May also fill web with content no longer written by people, but by machines.
WordPress Scale
As publishing platform, WordPress powers over 43% of all websites on internet.
Hosted version at WordPress.com represents only small fraction of that total.
Still, its network has sizable footprint. 20 billion page views. 409 million unique visitors monthly.
How It Works
Follows introduction of MCP support on WordPress.com last fall.
MCP (Model Context Protocol): Newer standard that allows applications to provide context to large language models.
With WordPress.com's MCP support, AI assistants have been able to connect to platform. Give customers visibility into site's content, settings, and analytics from preferred AI app.
Claude Desktop. Cursor. VS Code. ChatGPT. Others.
Now, WordPress.com allows AI agents to not only read site's content but also create posts, landing pages, and About pages.
Plus make structural changes.
What AI Agents Can Do
At launch, AI agents can:
Approve, reply to, and clean up comments.
Create, rename, and restructure categories and tags across site.
Fix alt text, captions, and titles to improve site's SEO.
All changes tracked through site's Activity Log.
Two Approaches
Customers can author drafts for AI agent to publish, tag, and categorize, along with meta description.
Or opt to allow AI agent to create post or page by describing what they want to publish.
Company says all changes require user's approval. Posts written by AI saved as drafts by default.
Design Awareness
AI agent can search site's theme and design before creating content.
Understands how to use same colors, fonts, spacing, and block patterns.
Content matches existing site aesthetic.
How To Enable
WordPress.com customers go to wordpress.com/mcp. Toggle on capabilities they want to use.
Connect preferred AI client: Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or any MCP-enabled tool.
Begin creating.
Why This Matters
WordPress.com betting website owners want AI to handle content creation and maintenance.
Even with limitations (approval required, drafts by default), expanded capabilities could greatly speed up website creation where humans aren't doing much content creation.
For website owners: Lower barrier to creating and maintaining sites. AI handles publishing workflow.
For the web: Potentially massive increase in AI-generated content. No longer just written by people.
For WordPress.com: Differentiates by making AI agents first-class citizens. Not just AI features. AI as primary workflow.
Concerns About Web Content
Worth noting concerns about what this means for state of web's content.
AI-authored posts give human readers insight into how these models write and engage.
Meta recently acquired social network Moltbook. AI agents allowed to post, reply, and connect with one another.
Anthropic experimented with letting AI write blog with human oversight.
WordPress.com making this mainstream. Not experimental. Production capability.
What This Means
If you own WordPress.com site: AI agents can now handle content creation, comment management, SEO optimization.
If you're content creator: AI-generated content scaling dramatically. Competition increasing.
If you're reader: More content you encounter may be AI-written. Not human-authored.
Web filling with AI-generated content. WordPress.com just accelerated that significantly.
Over to You...
What changes when AI can write, publish, manage comments, and optimize SEO while you sleep?
