Your August AI calendar ๐
2 real deadlines, 1 rumor pile... Mark these now
The Dates That Cost You Money

August starts tomorrow...
And it opens with a deadline we've been tracking for weeks.
Here's your calendar.
Two REAL dates, then the rumor pile. ๐
๐ August 1... Tomorrow. The government gets its homework.
The White House framework we covered in July comes due...
Frontier labs submit their classified model benchmarks to Washington.
You won't see the results...
That's the point of "classified." ๐
But watch what follows.
Every access change we lived through in July โ the Fable freeze, the ID checks, the vetted previews โ started as policy paperwork like this.
When the rules shift again, you'll read it here first.
๐ August 31... Sonnet 5's intro pricing dies.
$2/$10 becomes $3/$15. A 50% jump.
Sonnet's been the workhorse default all summer...
So if you've got heavy workloads planned โ migrations, big content runs, agent projects โ run them in August at the cheap rate.
That one's free money. Take it. ๐ฐ
๐ฎ And the rumor pile... Hold your wallet.
GPT-6 is "rumored within weeks." No date. No confirmation.
Gemini 3.5 Pro still owes the world a launch...
Three missed deadlines and counting.
Grok 4.6 AND 4.7 got announced by Elon in a single weekend...
Neither has shipped.
And Fable 5 is expected back in subscriptions "when capacity allows"...
Still no timeline.
You know the drill by now...
Rumors don't get your workflow. Releases get the six checks.
Anything on that list that actually ships...
You'll get the breakdown here same week. ๐ซก
Did You Know?
Windows XP was supported for almost 13 YEARS...
And when Microsoft finally pulled the plug, the US Navy paid MILLIONS to keep their extended support alive anyway.
Businesses will always pay for boring reliability...
Remember that next time someone calls stability a boring feature. ๐
Speak naturally. Send without fixing.
Wispr Flow turns your voice into clean, professional text you can send the moment you stop talking. Not rough transcription you have to clean up. Actual polished text โ ready for email, Slack, or any app.
Speak the way you think. Go on tangents. Change your mind mid-sentence. Flow strips the filler, fixes the grammar, and gives you text that reads like you spent five minutes writing it.
89% of messages sent with zero edits. Millions of professionals use Flow daily, including teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. Works on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

Speaking of boring reliability... OpenClaw just grew up a little ๐ฆ
OpenClaw took its first real step toward an LTS version this week.
They introduced an extended-stable release channel.
Here's the thinking, because it applies to YOUR whole stack...
When you're testing a cool new feature, running the latest build makes sense.
When an agent touches content, sales, client delivery, or ANYTHING tied to revenue...
Reliability beats novelty. Every time.
The new channel releases once a month...
Each release gets backported security and reliability fixes, supported until the next one lands.
First release: OpenClaw 2026.6.33.
They also launched a public maturity scorecard...
So you can SEE whether a feature is actually ready for a critical workflow before you bet revenue on it.
Their stated goal is 90%+ end-to-end test coverage for stable features...
That's the goal. Not a blanket guarantee today.
Here's how I'm running it...
Critical workflows go on extended-stable. Experiments stay on latest.
And before any feature joins a workflow that matters, I check where it sits on the scorecard.
Two commands to switch:
npm install -g openclaw@extended-stable
That installs the current release...
But it doesn't keep you on the channel.
To stay on it for future updates:
openclaw update --channel extended-stable
This isn't official LTS yet...
But it's OpenClaw putting the pieces in place to become infrastructure businesses can actually depend on.
Called this shift weeks ago...
The reliability era keeps arriving on schedule. ๐ฅ
Over to You...
Go book your August workloads at August prices...
And move anything that makes you money to the stable channel this weekend.
